Growing Organic Carrot Tops in Water

  1. Cut the top from organic store bought carrots. You will need one inch (see picture).
  2. Place carrot stump and balance it on top of a small container.
  3. Fill the glass with water up to and barely touching the bottom edge of the stump. Set the glass in a light, but not sunny window.
  4. Add water to keep it touching the edge and watch the roots sprout. Change water daily.
  5. Once carrot stump sprouts roots, plant in soil.

    1. hi - i've come to know your buns through instagram, which was a huge reason for us looking to adopt a soulmate for our 5 year old female spayed lionhead (we are both professional adults and own our own home, and have had our bun since she was a baby). we are scheduled to go meet a couple of spayed girls at an adoption agency tomorrow and do a meet and greet with our bunny to see her reaction. i am starting to get cold feet! looking at rambo and eddy, i know our bunny's life will be much more fulfilling with a friend, but i am hesitant and worried about the bonding process (and most importantly, what if we fail). i need some encouraging words (of wisdom) from you! i didn't see an email address and figured it'd be easier to get your attention here than on instagram. your encouragement is greatly appreciated!

      1. Hi Kate :) sorry for the late reply. That's wonderful that you are thinking of adopting a friend for your bunny. Hopemevrything went well. Please keep sue posted. Xoxo Eddy & Rams

    6. Hi! I'm currently growing carrot tops for my bun Hill and is wondering if I can snip off the tops when they are ready to be fed as treats and they will continue growing or would I have to grow from a new carrot stump? Thanks in advance (;
